Duna Return Trip!

Ladies and gentlemen,

Just recently, I completed a one manned return mission to Duna with only a single ship! This has been BY FAR the hardest thing I’ve done in Kerbal Space Program. I made quite a few mistakes along the way, and wasted a lot of fuel in the process. However, because I had overbuilt my ship to begin with, I made it back to Kerbin with about 90L of fuel to spare.

Jeb gets his first glimpse at Duna. I love the way the sun illuminated the polar ice cap.

Jeb and his ship after touching down on Duna. The SRBs turned out to be overkill, but I needed them because I spend 80% of my landing/return fuel in my initial interplanetary transfer.

Kung Fu Hustle

This is a full movie I found on YouTube the other day. It is a classic over the top Kung Fu movie with physics defying action sequences. This movie is especially ridiculous and for being free and on YouTube, it is worth your time. Thoroughly enjoyable from start to finish; it’s an absurd movie that takes itself seriously. Spectacular.

This is a render of an Orion crossing the sun I made in Blender. It took me awhile to figure everything out, and my poor laptop breathed fire while rendering it over the course of almost an hour. But I’d say after hours of work, bug fixing, and crappy renders, I’m proud of this creation. Enjoy!

I can easily get into orbit around each body, so I bet I could do that. Too bad they’re pretty useless right now, so when a future update containing docking and fuel transfer came out, I’d have to replace all of them.

Kerbal Space Program

Just the other day back from vacation, and I’m already hooked on Kerbal Space Program. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s basically a realistic space craft flight simulator, allowing you to construct and design your own ships. It’s under heavy development, but it’s great fun, especially if you have a soft spot for hard sci fi, (really not ‘fi’ at all, just hard science actually).

Anyhow, I’ve gotten to the Mun (moon) and back, to Minimus (a smaller, distant moon) and back with 1 crew member each, and just now got 2 ships into orbit, lined them up meticulously, swapped captains via EVA, and returned safely.

Tumblr, what should I do now? Give me a challenge!

ANOTHER Vacation

Here I go, off to ANOTHER vacation. My parents do keep me busy doing all sorts of crap. Anyhow, I’ll be back in 5-6 days. I’ll start posting more stuff soon, I promise. And no, I didn’t do any writing on the previous vacation. I wanted to, but various factors prevented me, (laziness was not one of them, believe me.) Stay safe, stay healthy, and stay happy!

Another Vacation

Well Tumblr, tomorrow I leave for another vacation. I will return late Friday the same week, (so a total of 5 days.) This time I’m unwillingly going to Tennessee to visit people I barely know and that barely know me because my mother wants us to ‘keep in touch with family’. I wouldn’t be complaining if she didn’t force everyone else to go with her. Ugh.

I’ll try to do some writing while I’m away in the car. I might put something up as a teaser when I return, depending on how much progress I make.

Confusion

Well, another update in the exciting world of AJ^2!

A few posts ago I said I was a heteroromantic grey-asexual. For the first time in my life, I think something changed. I met up with an acquaintance of mine that I had only met one or two other times before. The instant I saw him, I couldn’t look away. It was like a cute girl in your class you have your eye on, only this was someone of the same gender. I did not have any sexual feelings what so ever for him, but I saw him as very attractive. Now I don’t get out much, but that’s the first time I’ve ever had any kind of feelings for a male. I might have to change my orientation, (because I know you love hearing about it Tumblr,) to biromantic grey-asexual.

Almost every person I know is slightly to severely homophobic, and frequently uses the word ‘gay’ to describe negativity. I was always offended by the insensitivity, but now, I can actually feel offended personally. I don’t know what this means, but things will certainly get more interesting from here on out.

(He turned out to be a straight, religious, and homophobic before I said anything to him. That settles that, I guess.)

I’m so confused right now. I’ve never felt like this before in my life. I must think.

Well, instead of doing something useful, this is what I did the past few days in Gmod. It’s an 8 legged walker tank using E2, with a mouse aimed turret. Quite a lot of effort went into that thing. It walks pretty slowly, but it does so without hoverballs or keep upright. I’m proud of it.

I'm Free

I just won Minecraft (killed Ender dragon) on semi-legit soft-hardcore. Semi-legit because I had to load a backup save twice, once when I decided to do something stupid and thought I was going to die in 3 seconds, and once in the End when the dragon pushed me into the void a few seconds after I spawned. Soft-hardcore because I was playing on hard (not hardcore) but never died.

I’m free. Finally free. Now to do something useful with my time, like work on that story of mine.

The one time I did ‘die’ in the End after killing stuff the entire game, my score was over 5000. :|
